Here are some frequently asked questions about our products and services:

What is the Digital Changeover?
In October 2012 Ireland’s Analogue Television service will be turned off and replaced by a Digital signal. Because of this many aerials will become obsolete and may need to be replaced with a Digital aerial.

Is this service legal?
Yes this service is legal. Free to air and free view, are free to be viewed by people who have the correct viewing equipment, (eg. satellite dish, aerial and combo set top box)

Is a phone line required?
No, you do not need a phone line for this service.

Is a television licence required?
Yes a television licence is required as you will still be using a television set.

How long does the install take?
Standard installations usually take approx. 1.5 to 2 hours to complete. Multi-room installations will take longer depending on the amount of television sets.

Can the wind blow the dish out of line?
No. In most instances a properly mounted dish will not be moved by the wind. In the rare case of this happening, W.L. Electrical will re-align your dish for free within the first 6 months of your installation date.
